It is a well recognized fact that sudden quantitative
growth in higher technical education, impelled
by the global need for trained personal has caused
acute dearth of high quality teaching faculty everywhere.
Faculty student ratios are getting diluted
and new modes of delivering high quality lectures to large
audiences have to be sought. Virtual classrooms
and even virtual institutes may soon replace
the conventional systems.
Under the circumstances it has become imperative for teaching
faculty to master the technology of delivery systems
besides mastering their domain. Pedagogical paradigms
are difference when the teacher faces a remote classroom.
The present conference aims at familiarizing the teachers
of engineering colleges with the latest technology in
creating learning materials in their domain of knowledge
in a form that could be delivered to distant classrooms.
Such technology has to answer many questions such
as interactions, examinations and evaluation systems.
Experts from many Universities in India and
abroad are sharing their vast knowledge and experiences
in e-learning for the benefit of young teachers who participate
in this conference.
